ACCD to hold Webinar today on Scott's economic initiatives

Governor Scott’s Budget Address

Vermont Business Magazine Governor Phil Scott Tuesday delivered his budget address to the General Assembly, presenting a balanced budget that includes $210 million in new investments to strengthen the economy, create more and better paying jobs, and address big priorities, like downtown revitalization, infrastructure, broadband and climate change.

ACCD is focused on more than $100 million in economic initiatives and will host a webinar on Wednesday, January 27th at 3 pm to review the Agency’s legislative priorities and package with partners and the public. PPP Webinars Announced

The Vermont District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will present two webinars starting this week. The PPP First and Second Draw webinar will be held on a weekly basis to describe the First Draw and the Second Draw options, terms, eligibility, and the application process. The first session will be held on January 27th at 9:00am.

The District office will also continue its weekly webinars on PPP Forgiveness on Tuesdays at 11:30am. The next PPP Forgiveness webinar will be February 2nd.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

The public COVID-19 vaccine rollout is underway in Vermont. Vermonters aged 75 and older can now register for an appointment and get vaccinated at a local clinic. Vaccines are free and sign-up is easy. The quickest way to sign-up for an appointment is online at HealthVermont.gov/MyVaccine. If that is not an option, you can also make an appointment by calling (855) 722-7878.

Business Economic Survey

This is the last chance to take part in the Vermont Chamber of Commerce annual state-wide survey of small- to medium-sized businesses. This year COVID-related business questions have been added that will hopefully result in some valuable insights for policymakers. The survey remains open until this Friday, January 29th.
