Lieutenant Governor-elect Molly Gray names Hazel Brewster chief of staff

Vermont Business Magazine Today, Lieutenant Governor-elect Molly Gray announced the appointment of Hazel Brewster of Morrisville to serve as her chief of staff.

“Hazel shares my deep commitment to working hard, day in and day out, on behalf of Vermonters as we strive to recover stronger from this pandemic and to address Vermont’s demographic challenges,” Lieutenant Governor-elect Gray said.

Most recently, Brewster served as the Scheduler and Digital Media Manager for Gray’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor. Previously, Brewster worked in the Offices of Governor Phil Scott and Senator Patrick Leahy as well as supporting Members of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland. Brewster is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Political Science and is expected to complete her Masters in Public Policy and Global Affairs from the University of British Columbia in early 2021. Brewster was born and raised in Morrisville and currently resides in Burlington.

“I am both humbled and honored to be joining the Lieutenant Governor’s Office,” said Brewster “Molly Gray embodies the next generation of Vermont leadership, and I share her commitment to serving Vermonters and working to elevate their diverse voices in Montpelier. I am proud to be joining her in the State House in 2021.”

Salaries for the Lieutenant Governor and Chief of Staff will not exceed the budget currently set for the office. Brewster will begin her appointment after Lieutenant Governor-elect Gray’s swearing-in on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
