Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Department of Health on Sunday is reporting 129 new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 14,493 and one more death for a statewide total of 197. On Saturday they reported 109 new cases and three deaths. VDH is also reminding Vermonters that they can create an account to get vaccinated even if they are not eligible yet to receive one. VDH expects to open up the next vaccination for those 65 or older about March 1.

COVID-19 VACCINE DASHBOARD
The COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard is updated Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The data in the dashboard includes the vaccines available in Vermont (currently, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna). Data is based on date reported to the Vermont Immunization Registry and does not reflect date of vaccination. Information reflects counts reported by the end of the previous day. Data is subject to change.

Overall progress shows the percent of the population (of those who are older than 16 years old) that have received at least one dose of the vaccine in Vermont. People under 16 are not approved to receive the vaccine that is currently available and are not included in the overall progress tracker.
Vaccines administered reflects the total number of doses that have been given to people.
Doses received shows the total doses received from the federal government. This number may be higher than the number of doses administered due to a lag in reporting the number of vaccine doses administered. In addition, some of the doses received so far are preparing to go to long-term care facilities and hospitals for upcoming clinics. We give out more doses of vaccine each week to facilities holding clinics, so the amount we have on hand fluctuates depending on how many clinics are scheduled and the allocation we’ve received from the federal government.
Total people started indicates the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine.
Total people completed indicates the number of people who completed both doses of the vaccine.
Total people vaccinated shows the number of people who received at least one dose over time.
The dashboard includes the percent of the population by age, sex, race, and ethnicity that is vaccinated. Age and sex information are rarely missing for immunization records. Race and ethnicity information are not required fields in the Immunization Registry and are missing more often. Information on race and ethnicity is provided by the practice providing the immunization. If their patient record does not include race and ethnicity or they choose not to send it, it will not be available in the Immunization Registry.

Vermont residents who were vaccinated in Vermont are reflected in the dashboard.
Non-Vermont residents who were vaccinated in Vermont are reflected in the vaccine administered, total people started, and total people completed numbers. They are not reflected in the county-level data or overall progress numbers.
People age 70 years and older can make appointments now.
There are enough appointments for everyone who is eligible. Appointments are required. Clinics cannot accept walk-ins.
