GlobalFoundries’ GlobalGives holiday gift campaign raises $25K for Vermont Foodbank

Just as our feature-rich semiconductor chips enable technological innovation, as a company we aim to be a catalyst for driving positive social impact at home and around the world.

On behalf of their generous Fab 9 (Essex Junction, Vermont) employees, GF has donated a total of $25,000 to the Vermont Foodbank. This joyful outcome was a result of our GlobalFoundries GlobalGives Holiday Gift Campaign.

GF would like to thank the Vermont Food Bank for the critical services they provide year-round. This organization takes care of so many in our community, especially during times like these. We know that during these challenging times their mission is more important than ever as they work to help those in need. We hope that this donation will help to alleviate the cost of meeting some of our community's needs during this holiday season.

GlobalGives is our GF worldwide program of both employee- and company-driven initiatives around philanthropy, giving, social justice, disaster relief, environmental protection, volunteering, and promoting STEM education. Each of our locations have well-established programs and teams dedicated to enriching the lives of local citizens, and we take great pride in their long history of community involvement and service.

Additionally in December, our GF Burlington GlobalWomen employee resource group held an "Adopt a Girl" event in collaboration with the Salvation Army. The team fulfilled some of the wishes for our adopted girls in need in our community and donated many more items and essentials.

Also, the collective GF Fab 9 team donated 2,400 pounds of food to the community via our Fab 9 Holiday Food Drive.
