Gives Back to the Community to Keep Families Safe
Vermont Business Magazine Concerned by the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Vermont, Smugglers’ Notch Distillery will be offering free bottles of hand sanitizer to the public to slow the spread of COVID and other diseases.
As the holiday season gets under way and more people gather with friends and family, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues to recommend that everyone get vaccinated, wear a mask, and wash their hands often. Smugglers’ Notch Distillery’s hand sanitizer can help keep hands clean and germ-free when soap and water are not readily available.
“We’ve seen the recent rise of Covid cases across the country and here in Vermont. Things have gotten to the point where SND has had to ask; “What can we, as a company, do to help keep our families and communities safe?” said Jeremy Elliott, President and Co-Owner of Smugglers’ Notch Distillery. “We’ve decided to donate over $13,000 of our own distillery-made hand sanitizer directly to the public to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 as people travel and gather with family this holiday season.”
To that end, Smugglers’ Notch Distillery has stocked its tasting rooms in Waterbury, Manchester, and Jeffersonville with over 900 bottles at each location. Starting Saturday, December 18, and continuing until supplies run out, any member of the public can visit a SND tasting room and pick up a free 3-pack of hand sanitizer. No purchase is necessary, but the Distillery respectfully asks that each family limits themselves to one 3-pack so that as many people as possible in the community can be reached.
By offering a quality hand sanitizer to the public for free, Smugglers’ Notch Distillery is doing what they can to slow the spread of Covid this holiday season and hopes to remind everyone to keep their friends and family safe as they celebrate together.
