Restaurant Revitalization Fund Updates

The US Small Business Administration (SBA) has not yet announced the opening date for applications for the upcoming Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF). The SBA did announce partnerships with Clover, NCR Corporation, Square, and Toast today in order to help businesses using those technologies to help in their application.

ACCD and the SBA held a webinar this week that covered initial details of the program. A recording of that webinar can be found at the ACCD COVID-19 Recovery Resource Center.

Moving forward, the SBA’s Vermont District Office will host a free webinar at 9:00am Tuesdays and Thursdays about the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Topics will include an overview of the program, eligibility and the application process. Businesses can access the webinar through Microsoft Teams or by phone at 202-765-1264 and enter code 981035922#. For more information, email [email protected].

Community Development Block Grant CARES Act Funding (CDBG-CV)

The Department of Housing and Community Development is accepting applications from municipalities throughout Vermont for CDBG-CV funding through the Municipal Public Facility and Service Program for activities related to COVID-19.

Nearly $1.8 million remains to assist communities and non-profits with grants for public facility and service projects that have an unmet need due to COVID-19. Applications must be submitted by the Municipality where the project is located. Funding will be on a first come, first served basis and will be awarded through a competitive application process. Grants range from $5,000 to $200,000 for Public Service and Public Facility projects. Projects serving 70% low- and moderate-income individuals, as well as projects in an area-wide, low- and moderate-income community, will be prioritized.
