Expanded Economic Recovery Grant application live

Agency of Commerce & Community Development Applications are now being accepted by both ACCD and the Department of Taxes for the Expanded Economic Recovery Grants. The Department of Taxes application is open through the myVTax portal until this Friday, October 30th. The window for the ACCD application is open until Monday, November 9th.

ACCD has posted grant information translations for non-English speaking businesses owners to connect them with additional grant support through the Association of Africans Living in Vermont and the Vermont Center for Women & Enterprise. ACCD thanks both of these organizations for their support.

Youth Sports and Recreation Guidance Update

Due to rising COVID-19 case counts throughout the Northeast, and the decisions of Massachusetts and New Hampshire officials to suspend ice rink activities due to numerous outbreaks, the State of Vermont has announced updated policies to reduce risk. Vermont-based youth and adult recreational sports are now restricted to in-state activities only, with strict limits on the number of spectators permitted in attendance at indoor sports events.

VBSR Small Business Resiliency Fund

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) has launched the Small Business Resiliency Fund to provide grants to small businesses who demonstrate the ability to rebuild, sustain, and grow their operations through a “triple- bottom-line” focused on people, planet, and prosperity. Grantees will receive cash awards of $10,000 and referrals to VBSR partner organizations for technical and business assistance. Cross State Travel Map Update

The Cross State Travel Map and data modeling presentation were updated Tuesday. Steady growth of the virus in the Northeast continues to impact the travel map. The eligible number of travelers who can come to Vermont without quarantine fell from 1.6 million to 880,000.

Agriculture Grants Support Resources

The Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets continues to offer resources to those looking to apply for grants related to farmers markets, farm to school programs, dairy, and working lands initiatives. A new series of two-minute videos is now available to help guide applicants through the application process. Many of the programs have deadlines in early November.
