May 17 at 1: UVM to Post Video Celebrating Class of 2020

What: In lieu of a commencement ceremony, which has been postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the University of Vermont will post a video celebration of the class of 2020.

The video will consist of a messages from UVM president Suresh Garimella and Vermont Governor Phil Scott, the conferral of degrees by the president and the academic deans by academic unit, and a class of 2020 photo montage composed of photos that were submitted by students and family members.

When: The video, which was prerecorded, will go live on Sunday, May 17, at 1.

Where: The video can be viewed on the university’s commencement websitebeginning at 1.

What else: The class of 2020 commencement program will also be posted on the commencement website, which will list graduate names, honors and awards. The recipients of the 2020 Outstanding Student Leadership Awards will also be posted on the commencement page.
