Vermont Business Magazine Comcast held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new interactive Xfinity Store in Rutland. Community leaders came out to celebrate the grand opening and tour the store. During the event, Comcast marked the occasion with a $2,000 donation to the Rutland Boys & Girls Club.
The newly redesigned Xfinity Store is focused entirely around the needs of customers, providing them with an opportunity to explore, learn about and engage with the latest Xfinity products and services. The store features contemporary hands-on displays, comfortable seating areas and strategically designed product areas— Xfinity X1, Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Home and Xfinity Mobile—so customers can see the industry-leading products in action. In addition, the store offers a dedicated space where Comcast Business customers and prospects can discover cutting-edge business solutions and get connected with a local expert to discuss their business technology needs.
“We’re proud to be a part of the Rutland community and are excited to give customers an awesome experience with this new store,” said Dennis Mathew, senior vice president of Comcast’s Western New England Region, which includes Vermont. “Our Xfinity stores offer a warm, welcoming environment for our customers to learn more about all the features and benefits of the technology they rely on every day inside and outside the home.”
At the new interactive Xfinity Store in Rutland, customers will receive personalized service from six trained and knowledgeable Sales Consultants, who are also committed to teaching customers how to get more value from their products, like personalizing, managing, and controlling their home WiFi experience with Xfinity xFi. The company’s new, industry-leading platform lets customers easily optimize and evaluate their in-home WiFi performance, and they can view connected devices, pause WiFi access for any device and set usage rules. As consumers increasingly rely on their home WiFi networks, Comcast recently introduced xFi Advanced Security, a new service that monitors, blocks and informs customers of online threats to all connected devices – adding an extra layer of protection for their entire home network.
Xfinity Stores range in size up to 4,000 square feet and are located in shopping destinations already familiar to local customers. In addition to receiving product demonstrations, customers can simply ask our experts about their current services or devices, learn how Xfinity apps make it easy to manage their account, sign up for all Xfinity services, pay bills at kiosks, return or acquire equipment and purchase accessories like Bluetooth speakers, headphones or mobile phone cases. Customers can also go online to www.xfinity.com/support, click “Visit an Xfinity Store” and make an appointment.
Located at 299 North Main Street, the new interactive Xfinity Store in Rutland is the second of its kind in Vermont and is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.
