VSP: Crack cocaine arrest in Proctor

Vermont State Police On January 7, 2020, Carmen Thompson was arrested at 21 Grove Street in Proctor. Thompson's arrest came after a drug investigation conducted by the Vermont Drug Task Force. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) assisted the Vermont Drug Task Force during its investigation.

The investigation involved the use of confidential informants who purchased crack cocaine from Thompson at 21 Grove Street in Proctor. [The location is around the corner from the Proctor Junior/Senior High School on Park Street.]

Following her arrest, members of the Vermont Drug Task Force, FBI and Field Force Troopers from the Rutland Barracks executed a search warrant at 21 Grove Street in Proctor. During the search of the residence, detectives located approximately 12.5 grams of crack cocaine.

Thompson was transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in Rutland where she was processed. Thompson is scheduled to appear in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Rutland on February 3, 2020.
