Vermont Business Magazine Today, the Scott Milne for Lieutenant Governor campaign announced its campaign team heading into the general election. Building on his strong victory in the primary, Milne has rounded out his staff with an experienced group of diverse talents and backgrounds.

Campaign Manager: St. Sen. Corey Parent

General Consultant: Jim Barnett, former aide to Gov. Jim Douglas and Sen. John McCain

Treasurer: Cathy Frey, Norwich University Professor of Mathematics

Campaign Coordinator: Janet Metz, longtime former senior policy and research professional for the New York State Assembly Democratic majority

Field and Digital Media Coordinator: Kolby LaMarche, Champlain College student

Press Secretary: Mike Donohue, public affairs consultant and VT Human Services Board chair

“I am proud of the talented group of professionals we have assembled for the campaign at this critical time for our state’s future and economic health,” said Milne. “I appreciate the time and energy they and our supporters across the state are committing to help me bring balance to Montpelier and provide Governor Scott an active partner in the vital work ahead. The economic challenges—and opportunities—confronting us are far too serious to leave the lieutenant governor’s office to inexperience, partisanship, and placeholding.”

“Scott Milne is the right person at the right time to help Governor Scott grow Vermont’s economy and be a lieutenant governor who is a strong advocate and leads in Montpelier from day one,” said Jim Barnett. “Emerging from the sweeping effects of the COVID pandemic and addressing Vermont’s continuing economic and demographic challenges makes this race more critical than ever. Scott Milne is the partner Governor Scott needs in Montpelier.”

“I couldn’t be prouder of our candidate and campaign staff and volunteers,” added campaign manager Corey Parent. “Scott’s sweeping primary victory after entering the race at the end of May reflected the clear value voters place on business experience, common-sense leadership, and bipartisanship. I’m glad our team was able to lend our energy and enthusiasm to Scott’s primary campaign, and I look forward to building on this success to help propel Scott Milne to victory.”
