Volunteer to Support Vermonters Affected by COVID-19

Governor Scott is calling on able Vermonters to volunteer and support the state’s COVID-19 response. Vermont is looking for volunteers to help in communities across the state and help is needed in a variety of areas and professions. Please register here: https://www.vermont.gov/volunteer.

SBA Loans and Emergency Advances

ACCD is encouraging small business owners to consider applying for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan. By applying for a loan, a business harmed by COVID-19 may be eligible for a grant that provides an emergency advance of up to $10,000 within three days of a successful application. This resource is available to businesses now, and you can access it by reaching out directly to the SBA and filling out an application on their website or by reaching out to your Regional Development Corporation, or the Vermont Small Business Development Center.

April 6th Expiration Date Extended

Governor Scott has issued Addendum 8, which extends the expiration of the Stay Home, Stay Safe order until April 15th for dine-in service at bars and restaurants and for in-person operation at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Guidance on Environmental Enforcement

The Agency of Natural Resources has issued new environmental enforcement and permit compliance guidance in conjunction with the Stay Home, Stay Safe order. This guidance will expire at the end of the Governor’s state of emergency declaration.

Business Impact

ACCD wants to hear from all Vermont businesses impacted by the response to the COVID-19 virus. Please share these impacts via the ACCD Business Impact Form, which will help us assess the full impact as we work toward solutions.
