Vermont Business Magazine Garnet Transport Medicine, a state-of-the-art medical transport service, provides 24/7/365 inter-facility transport throughout Vermont. It began providing services today from their facility in Essex. Garnet’s services include Basic and Advanced Life Support ambulance service and Non-Emergency Medical Transport for those requiring wheelchair accommodation, all with a focus on patient-centered care.
The fleet consists of three custom Braun ambulances, each equipped with the latest biomedical and communications equipment, and a Paratransit van capable of wheelchair transports.
“Until now, there is only one other company serving all of Vermont in the interfacility and non-emergent ambulatory care segment,” explained Ryan Ferris, Co-Founder and President & CEO at Garnet Transport Medicine. “Having worked in this field for many years, I saw a need for more capacity and clinical capability. This is especially true in Chittenden County and in serving the University of Vermont Medical Center, senior living communities, and rehabilitation centers.”
Ferris is a Licensed Paramedic, a Certified HIPPA Privacy & Security Expert (CHPSE), and a Certified Telehealth Coordinator (CTC) with 15-years of professional EMS experience in 911 and interfacility critical and specialty care.
