Community Bank supports Pathways Vermont with $1,000 donation

Vermont Business Magazine Community Bank NA recently presented a $1,000 donation to Pathways Vermont to support its annual fundraising breakfast, to be held May 30 at the South Burlington DoubleTree Conference Center. All proceeds from the event will further Pathways Vermont’s mission to transform the lives of Vermonters experiencing mental health and other life challenges by supporting self-directed roads to recovery and wellness in an atmosphere of dignity, respect, choice and hope.

“We’re excited to serve as a bronze-level sponsor for Pathways Vermont’s annual fundraising breakfast,” Community Bank N.A. Commercial Banking Officer David Blow said. “This event draws more than 200 guests and is a crucial fundraiser for the organization. The funds raised at this event will ensure Pathways Vermont is able to continue the important work it does in our community.”

Pathways Vermont was founded in 2009 with funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to implement a Housing First program, the first of its kind in a rural setting. Since then, it’s expanded its services for Vermonters experiencing homelessness by launching its Supportive Services for Veteran Families program and creating community mental health initiatives, including the Pathways Vermont Support Line and the Pathways Vermont Community Center.

“This donation from Community Bank allows Pathways Vermont to continue to provide our person-centered services to Vermonters most in need,” Pathways Vermont Development Director Patrick Gallagher said. “We are truly grateful to Community Bank's commitment to our mission.”
