Vermont Business Magazine Burlington International Airport (BTV) today launched a second non-stop flight to Denver this summer, with service provided by United Airlines. The inaugural flight arrived at BTV at 1:40 pm EST and departed for the Mile High City at 3:30 pm EST. The new flight complements United’s service between Burlington and its hubs in Chicago (ORD), New York/Newark (EWR) and Washington Dulles (IAD), and marks the 12th non-stop destination for BTV.
United’s Denver service is seasonal, and will take place Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. United will utilize its Airbus fleet for the service, with approximately 150 seats available per flight.
“We are beyond excited about BTV’s continued partnership with United, which has resulted in growth to another destination,” said Gene Richards, Director of Aviation. “Denver has been a longstanding desired destination for BTV. Thank you to United for making this direct west coast service possible.”
Colorado is a popular destination for Vermonters, as Denver ranked among BTV’s top ten final travel destinations in 2018. Vermonters can take advantage of this direct flight and enjoy the various summer activities Colorado offers, such as white water rafting the Colorado River, checking out Rocky Mountain National Park, or experiencing the thriving food and local beer scene. This new service is also greatly beneficial to BTV travelers, as it opens up easier access to west coast travel.
