Vermont State Police On Wednesday 7/17/2019 at approximately 1437 hrs. Vermont State Police, Chittenden County Sheriff's Dept., Milton Fire Dept. and Milton EMS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on I-89 in the town of Milton, which closed the southbound lane for a period of time.
Investigation determined the vehicle was traveling southbound when it entered the median in the area of mile marker 102.5. Upon entering the median the vehicle collided with a ledge and trees. The vehicle came to rest on its passengers side in the southbound lane of traffic.
The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was identified as David Lawrence, age 54, of Eden, VT.
