Vermont Business Magazine At the 3rd Annual Southern Vermont Economy Summit in May, Emerging Leaders of Southern Vermont will be recognized. The purpose of the Emerging Leaders nomination is to highlight and honor Young Professionals in their roles as leaders and change makers in the Southern Vermont economy. Nominees will be notified and asked to supply the selection committee with more detailed information about themselves. Honorees will be chosen by the Southern Vermont Young Professionals and the Shires Young Professionals selection committee who co-sponsor the Emerging Leaders Event.
During last year’s second annual Southern Vermont Economy Summit, 24 emerging leaders of Southern Vermont were recognized in a ceremony with guest speakers Vermont Department of Labor Commissioner Lindsay Kurrle and Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development Secretary Schirling. This year we will carry on this new tradition of highlighting young professionals in Bennington County and the Windham Region so they can be recognized both regionally, and supported at a state level: The young professionals nominated and recognized at this event will also be nominated for the VBM Vermont Rising Star award by the two Young Professional groups hosting this recognition. Last year 4 Emerging Leaders became Vermont Business Magazine Rising Stars.
Please use the brief online form and share widely. You may submit multiple nominations. Nominations are due March 15th.
