Vermont Business Magazine Sugarbush Resort is hosting twenty separate events for the upcoming MLK Weekend, from culinary events to torchlight parades and fireworks. The fun kicks off on Saturday, January 19th with Guided Outback Snowshoe Tours at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM at Lincoln Peak. Guests can celebrate NSAA Safety Month with Meet the Ski Patrol & Toboggan Rides at 3:30 PM on the Welcome Mat at Lincoln Peak. There will also be a Local Artisan Market from 12:00 – 6:00 PM in Rumble’s Kitchen. At 3:30 PM in the Lincoln Peak Courtyard, there will be a free S’Mores Cookout. A Mad River Distillers Tasting will take place outside the Castlerock Pub from 2:00 – 6:00 PM featuring their 60thAnniversary Barrel Aged Bourbon. Apres music will be rocking in all restaurants from 3:00 - 6:00 PM.
Kids can participate in the Kids Torchlight Parade with Murphy Moose at 4:00 PM outside The Schoolhouse while another Torchlight Parade and Fireworks event will begin at 7:00 PM on Spring Fling. Kids can also enjoy a Kids Cooking Class: Mean Pizza, “The Wampananny Witches” from 5:30 – 7:00 PM in The Schoolhouse.
Adventurers can skin or snowshoe up to Walt’s at the Glen House that evening with a guidedTour De Moon leaving the Mt. Ellen Base Lodge at 4:00 PM. Afterwards, the Green Mountain Lounge will feature drinks, dancing, and music with Mt. Ellen After Dark from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM.
Rounding out the weekend, Sunday includes another Local Artisan Market in Rumble’s Kitchen from 12:00 – 6:00 PM. The Blizzard Boogie with run from 3:00 – 4:30 PM as an outdoor dance party with Murphy Moose and food, including another S’mores Cookout. AKids Pizza & Movie Night will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM featuring Coco and Inside Out. AFat-Ypus Ski Demo will be available all day from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Mt. Ellen.
Sunset Groomer Rides are available both days, reservations required.
