Vermont Business Magazine For the first time, medical cannabis patients in Vermont now have the convenience of using a drive-through window to purchase products for pain relief and other ailments. Southern Vermont Wellness (SVW) is now approved to dispense its full range of medical cannabis products at its new home at 942 Putney Road in Brattleboro.
While the drive-through concept is standard in many other medical and retail industries, it has never been used in New England’s cannabis space. SVW joins its sister company, Ceres Natural Remedies, which has been selling its wide range of CBD products through the drive-through facility to the general public since December of last year.
“Since we opened with CBD last year, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. People love the convenience a drive-through window provides, especially people with physical ailments. They have been asking when THC products would be available and we are pleased to tell them the wait is over,” said Bridget Conry, Marketing Director for Southern Vermont Wellness and Ceres Natural Remedies.
The drive-through menu now offers a full complement of Southern Vermont Wellness medical cannabis products including edibles, flower, tinctures, topicals and vape to registered SVW patients. All drive-through sales must be express pre-orders, which can be submitted online. Sales will not be permitted without an existing pre-order.
While anyone 21 and older can purchase CBD-only products, only card holding medical cannabis patients registered with SVW (or their registered caregivers) are permitted to purchase THC products using the drive-through. A valid medical cannabis card will be required at the time of purchase.
Medical cannabis patients in Vermont have debilitating medical conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s, glaucoma, PTSD or other conditions that cause chronic pain, nausea, seizures or wasting syndrome.
