Main Street, University Place Will Be Closed for Part of Ceremony
Vermont Business Magazine UVM’s Convocation ceremony, which formally launches the academic year, will be held on Sunday, August 25, at 6:30. The event culminates with a walk down Main Street – by new students, faculty, staff and UVM leadership – to the UVM green, where a twilight induction ceremony will be held.
To accommodate the walk, Main Street will be closed from approximately 7:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday between the west side of the jug handle and the east side of South Prospect Street.
University Place will also be closed between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Sunday for the twilight induction on the UVM green.
