The championship was the vision of Council board Vice President, Lucas Jenson of the Tree House Hardwoods & Millshop. Vermont is very well known for its amazing cheese and there is nothing better than a nice, Vermont-made cheeseboard to serve and cut on. So we wanted to find out who makes the best of the best Vermont cheeseboard!! Entries were given 4-5 board feet of Hard Maple harvested from Shelburne Farms (kiln dried, rough cut). The first 50 registrants received a container of Sutherland Welles Bowl & Board wax and a free block of cheese from Cabot Creamery (for inspiration!).  Entries may be judged in multiple categories. All entries must be picked up at The Tree House by 8/31/19. Unclaimed entries will be considered a donation to the Vermont Wood Works Council after that date.
