Fairbanks Mill sold to Brandon Boudreau

Vermont Business Magazine Fairbanks Mill, a leading provider of hydro-electric services in northern New England, has been sold. Longtime owner of the StJohnsbury-based business, Robert Desrochers, has announced the sale to Brandon Boudreau of Bradford, VT.

“I am thrilled to have Brandon come on board and take the reins”, said Desrochers. “We have been looking for the right combination of energy, experience, and integrity, and Brandon fits the bill perfectly”. Boudreau worked for Fairbanks Mill a number of years ago, went on to work for Trans Canada on the Connecticut River hydro stations, while also providing maintenance and repair services to several independent power producers in his spare time.

“Brandon’s experience with the big turbines on the Connecticut, while still maintaining a sensitivity to the special needs of the “mom & pop” operations will serve him very well going forward”, Desrochers explained. Services that Fairbanks Mill provides range from turbine overhauls and repairs, penstock replacements, and trash rake installations, to environmental improvements such as fish passages, minimum flow systems and canoe portages.

“I am excited to be back with Fairbanks Mill,” said Boudreau. “The company has a great reputation in the industry and I look forward to working with our team to maintain the traditions of quality and customer service that have been built over the past forty years.” O.J. Robinson of CenterPoint Business Advisors assisted with the sale.
