Comcast opens 8,400 Xfinity WiFi hotspots throughout Vermont to help storm recovery

Vermont Business Magazine In order to help residents, businesses and emergency personnel cope with the aftermath of Winter Storm Bruce, Comcast is opening its 8,400 Xfinity WiFi hotspots throughout Vermont to anyone who needs them – including non- Xfinity Internet customers. The Xfinity WiFi hotspots will remain open through Sunday, December 2nd.

To access Xfinity WiFi hotspots, users should:

  • Select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.
  • Xfinity Internet customers can sign in with their usernames and passwords, and they will be automatically connected to Xfinity WiFi hotspots in the future.
  • Non-Xfinity Internet subscribers should visit the “Not an Xfinity Internet Customer” section on the sign-in page to get started. Non-customers will be able to renew their complimentary sessions every two hours through December 2, 2018.
  • For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi.
