If so, you are a Maker and eligible to sign up as an individual or group to “show and tell” at the 7thannual Champlain Mini Maker Faire. It’s Vermont’s Flagship Maker Faire and you don’t want to miss it! The new one-day format is Saturday,September 22, 2018. A kid- and family-friendly day program (11:00 – 4:00) will be followed by a new Makers in the Dark program (6:00 – 9:30) designed for adults at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms.
“The Champlain Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. Tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, and artists come together to exchange ideas. We can’t wait to see what they bring this year,” says Doug Webster, Executive Event Producer. “It’s an opportunity for anyone from 2 to 102 to discover new ideas.”
Join a friendly and curious community of creators, builders, and tinkerers. It’s FREE to exhibit as a Maker and the Faire provides a 10x10-covered space, power, Wi-Fi, a table and chairs. Makers can exhibit for the day program, evening program, or both.
Maker exhibits and food vendors are surrounded by activities involving robots, drones, rockets, e-wearables, steam punk, autonomous vehicles, burning man, gaming, and more.
