Champlain Valley Dispensary brings pain relief to South Burlington

Full service satellite dispensing location adds convince to patients with no need to change dispensary designation

Vermont Business Magazine Burlington area medical cannabis patients now have easier access to alternative pain relief with the opening of Champlain Valley Dispensary’s (CVD) first satellite location at 2 Green Tree Drive in South Burlington.

The new dispensary has ample parking and is patient comfort focused with nearly 3,000 square feet of retail space including three separate consultations stations.

“While our waterfront dispensary is uniquely positioned, we wanted to create easier access for our patients who live and work outside the downtown area, many of whom find travel to be challenging. This new South Burlington dispensary provides that and the feedback from our pa- tients confirms our decision,” said Shayne Lynn, CVD Chief Executive Officer.

The dispensary, which operates under the same state-issued license as Champlain Valley Dis- pensary, offers CVD/SVW’s full line of medical grade cannabis products including cured flower, edibles, tinctures, topicals, vaporizers, clones and more, and is open for business Tuesday - Saturday from 9am-4pm.

“Our mission is to make the highest quality medical cannabis products available to qualified patients as easily and affordable as possible. We understand patients use our products for re- lief from pain caused by some very serious health issues and convenience is important,” said Bridget Conroy, CVD Director of Sales and Product Development.

Like other dispensaries in the state, only medical marijuana patients registered with CVD (or their registered caregivers) are permitted to enter the dispensary. Medical marijuana patients in Vermont have debilitating medical conditions including cancer, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s, glaucoma, PTSD or other conditions that cause chronic pain, nausea, seizures or wasting syndrome.

CVD first in state to offer satellite location
Vermont Marijuana Registry patients are required to designate a single dispensary as their source of medical cannabis. However, under state law a dispensary may include a satellite loca- tion, allowing current CVD patients to visit the new South Burlington location as well as the Burlington location, without changing their designation. However, patients that use other dispensaries including Southern Vermont Wellness (SVW) in Brattleboro will be required to change their designation in order to shop from the South Burlington location. CVD/SVW will open a satellite dispensary in Middlebury this summer, which will operate under the same license as SVW-Brattleboro and be accessible to patients that have designated SVW.
