Vermont State Police On 06302018 at approximately 2029 hours the Vermont State Police were contacted regarding an apparent shooting victim located at240 Spring Roadin Tunbridge.
Members of the Vermont State Police Field Force Division, Bureau of Criminal Investigation Division and members of the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, responded to investigate.
Investigators learned that the female victim had been outside her residence when she was struck with a projectile. Friends and neighbors immediately began rendering the female aid and she was later transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon NH. The female was identified as 88 year old Edith Whitney of Tunbridge. Whitney is listed as a patient at DHMC and her condition at this time is unknown.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
