None of the threats received in Vermont has been determined to be credible. The FBI, US Department of Homeland Security, Vermont State Police and the Vermont Intelligence Center continue to monitor the situation, respond as appropriate and investigate the emails, which are reported to have been received across the country, in Canada and elsewhere around the world.

The Vermont State Police continues to receive reports of emailed bomb threats being received in the state. As of 5:45 pm, investigators know of at least 15 including at businesses, schools, municipal offices and by private individuals.
Threats have been received at:

2 - Rutland (Garvey Auto both times)
1 - Winooski (Tarrant Foundation)
2 - Middlebury (private individuals)
2 - Warren (Ski & Ride School at Sugarbush; West Hill Inn)
1 - Fairfax (Century Arms)
1 - South Burlington (South Burlington PD)
1 - Groton (town hall)
1 - Montpelier (private individuals)

WATERBURY, Vt. – The Vermont State Police is aware of at least five reported bomb threats in the state on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, that appear to be part of a related, coordinated series of threats across the country and in Canada. The state police responded and takes the threats seriously but has found no indication so far that they are credible. Investigation is continuing.
The Vermont State Police is aware that the FBI is investigating the national event.
