Rutland Regional again named a 'Best Regional Hospital' by US News

Vermont Business MagazineFor the second year in a row, Rutland Regionalhas been named a “Best Regional Hospital” byU.S. News & World Reportfor 2018-2019.Rutland Regionalis the only hospital in Vermont to receive a “Best Regional Hospital” designation.Out of 4500 hospitals evaluated nationwide, only 520 received “Best Regional Hospital” status.

The annualBest Hospitalsrankings, now in their 29thyear, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.For the 2018-19 rankings,U.S. Newsevaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 158hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. However,Rutland Regional,was ranked as “high performing” in three specialties and conditions: Heart Failure, Hip Replacement, and Knee Replacement.
