Lenny’s Boots ‘n Beer Event raises over $3,300 for SO Vermont

Patrons raised $3,329 for Special Olympics Vermont during the Boots ‘n Beer tasting events at Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel. Vermont Business Magazine Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel brewed up over $4,300 for Special Olympics Vermont and New York during their Boots ‘n Beer fundraising events. Lenny’s offered free beer tastings by three local breweries at each event. In addition to the free tastings, customers could purchase limited edition event t-shirts and raffle tickets for a chance to win boots, shoes, clothing and accessories. 100% of the t-shirt and raffle ticket proceeds are being donated to Special Olympics Vermont and New York. Lenny’s gave away over a 50 raffle prizes including KEEN Utility work boots, Merrell shoes and three $100 Lenny’s Gift Cards.

In February, Lenny’s Williston hosted 1st Republic Brewing Company, Goodwater Brewery and Groennfell Meadery. In March, Lenny’s Plattsburgh hosted Valcour Brewing Company, Livingoods Restaurant & Brewery and Plattsburgh Brewing Company. Also in March, Lenny’s Barre hosted Good Measure Brewery, Zero Gravity and Lawson's Finest Liquids.

Over the past seven years, Lenny’s has donated over $41,000 to the Special Olympics. These funds all help to support local athletes with intellectual disabilities. Keep an eye on the Lenny’s Facebook page for another round of Boots ‘n Beer events, scheduled for this fall.
