Vermont Business Magazine King Street Center ExecutiveDirector Vicky Smith, with help from a few King Street Center kids, accepts a$15,000 Community Impact Grant check from Managing Partner Robert Nocera ofNew York Life’s Vermont’s General Office and King Street Center Boardmember Scott Hadley, CLU, ChFC, an agent of New York Life's Vermont GeneralOffice and Principal at Hadley Financial Group. The grant supports theAfterschool Excellence program, which provides quality year-round care,meals, academic support, and enrichment for children in Kindergarten – 5th grade. The Community Impact Grant program awards grants of up to $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations, which are championed by New York Life agentsand employees to serve the needs of their local communities. Since theprogram’s inception in 2008, 476 grants totaling more than $6.25 millionhave been awarded to nonprofits across the country.
