Vermont Business Magazine Michael Feitelberg, President of The Sports & Fitness EDGE Inc (The EDGE, The EDGE Kids & Fitness and The EDGE Physical Therapy), a Vermont health and fitness company established in 1966, has announced that The EDGE is launching a multi-site preventative care practice, The EDGE Preventative Care. The Edge has locations in Essex, South Burlington and Williston.
As Vermont’s exclusive provider of Genavix and HealthyCARE Services, this uniquely structured practice has already impacted hundreds of lives in Chittenden County with a focus on fitness, nutrition, stress management and behavior modification; our participants have seen sustained weight loss, lowered cholesterol and blood pressure.
The EDGE Preventative Care clinics will allow individuals and companies to take control of their health, prevent disease, maintain a better overall quality of life and potentially dramatically reduce healthcare costs. The EDGE Preventative Care clinics are designed to work in harmony with the medical community in an effort to improve the health of all Vermonters.
Physician referrals are now being accepted for our HealthyCARETM services. Nicole Williams, BS, MS, ACMS EP-C has been appointed as the Director of the division. Williams comes to the EDGE with a wealth of medically integrated fitness expertise having served as the Center Director and Medical Integration Coordinator for the UVM Health Network at CVPH Wellness & Fitness Center.
The EDGE Preventative Care staff is comprised of Registered Dieticians, Nationally Certified Wellness Coaches, Physical Therapists, and Exercise Physiologists. Health Insurance, HSA funds and many other insurance based Preventive Care funding options may be available to pay for the program and services.
