TJ Boyle landscape architects celebrates 50 years

Vermont Business Magazine Burlington-based TJ Boyle Associates, the oldest operating landscape architecture firm in Vermont, is celebrating 50 years of helping architects, planners, builders and homeowners create beautiful environments in Vermont and the greater New England area. Founded in 1967 by Terrence Boyle, the firm was purchased in 2010 by Michael Buscher, who had been a partner since 2007. Under Michael’s leadership, the firm has continued to provide comprehensive landscape architecture and land planning services to government agencies and private clients. Current projects focus on sustainable urban design and smart growth, commercial and industrial design, corporate and educational campus planning, park and recreational facility planning, natural resource management, residential developments, and individual residences.

With a staff of six full time employees, the firm has won multiple awards for its work, including the 2017 Vermont Public Spaces Honor Award for the Shelburne Veterans Memorial, the 2015 Exemplary Public Spaces Award for the South Burlington Open Space Plan, and the 2013 Planning Honor Award for the Visualization Study for Offshore North Carolina.
