VBSR teams-up with Skinny Pancake

Vermont Business Magazine Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility Research and Education Foundation (VBSR) announced today that it has signed on to help support and enhance Burlington Green Drinks. Hosted and coordinated by the Skinny Pancake, Green Drinks is a monthly networking event which seeks to create conversations around environmental stewardship. The event takes place at the Skinny Pancake’s Burlington location from 6-8 PM on the last Tuesday of every month.

“For a longtime, we have appreciated the role Green Drinks plays in strengthening the dialogue on environmental quality,” said VBSR Executive Director Jane Campbell. “When the opportunity came up to forge a formal partnership and become a supporting sponsor of the event, we were eager to sign on.”

“As we celebrate our 10th year of Green Drinks, its exciting to have an environmentally-minded business group supporting this event,” said Benjy Adler, owner of the Skinny Pancake. “If we are serious about environmental advocacy, then there is real need for buy-in from the business community, and for that to happen, we want them to be a part of these conversations. If we are going to grow Vermont’s economy in a sustainable manner, it’s going to require all of us coming together. Events like Green Drinks help achieve and facilitate those conversations.”

Green Drinks showcases a different environmentally-minded nonprofit or business each month. Attendees are encouraged to visit with these featured organizations, which often set up a table and spend a few minutes addressing the crowd and sharing their mission. These monthly sponsors allow for a full keg of beer or cider to be available to attendees at no charge to them.

Green Drinks is free and open to anyone interested in environmental causes. In addition to VBSR, Farrell Distributing and Outdoor Gear Exchange are also Supporting Sponsors of the event.
