Andrew Savage leaving Vermont for California

Vermont Business Magazine Andrew Savage, the Chief Strategy Officer for AllEarth Renewables in Williston, is leaving Vermont for the West Coast to help develop a bike share company in Oakland. Savage is a former communications director for Congressman Peter Welch and a VBM Rising Star. In a general email sent Thursday to colleagues and media, Savage said: "As some of you know, I am moving with my family to Oakland next month and my last day with AllEarth will be March 2.

"It's been a great 6 year journey helping AllEarth become a national company while also supporting our much-needed renewable transformation in Vermont and across the country.

"I am taking a position as Vice President of Strategic Development with a venture-backed bike sharing company with goals of dramatically increasing city mobility around the country (and potentially beyond) through new dockless bike sharing technology. I will also continue to serve on the SEIA board under other solar business I remain involved with."

According to his AllEarth bio, Savage was previousl deputy chief of staff, legislative director and communications directorfor Vermont Congressman Peter Welch. He also directed communications for President Barack Obama's presidential primary in Utah. Savage serves as a twice-elected member of the board of directors ofthe nearly 1,000-member national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and locally on the boards of the Vermont Council on Rural Development, CarShare Vermont, and the United Way of Northwestern Vermont.

He's a past speaker at various industry conferences including PV America and Department of Energy SunShot Summit, and published in Solar Industry, Solar Power World, and Solar Builder, among others. At AllEarth Renewables, Andrew takes charge of ourefforts todeploy renewable energy solutions and ensure we advanceprogressive, impactful energy policies and new business opportunities. He received a bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in environmental studies from Middlebury College. He has also attended an executive education program at Harvard University's John F.Kennedy School of Government.
