VBA welcomes Good Measure Brewing Co

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Brewers Association (VBA) is pleased to welcome Good Measure Brewing Co, out of Northfield, VT as the 51st member of the Association. The team at Good Measure Brewing Co includes Scott Kerner and Andrew Leichthammer. The group has plenty of combined experience in the industry. Scott has opened Three Penny Taproom and Mule Bar, while Andrew has the passion and experience for brewing.

Co-owner Scott Kerner says, "The VBA is such a vital organization in the state and we’ve watched with excitement as it's nurtured the industry in Vermont to great health and stability. Our interest in joining was not only about the benefits of membership (including, of course the Vermont Brewers Fest!) but also to create an even deeper bond between our business and the other incredibly talented brewers in the state." In their taproom, they are currently serving up a range of beer styles including an English-Style Bitter, an American Cream Ale, Belgian-Style Saison Farmhouse Ale, and an American Blonde Ale with Oats. Their focus is on giving the drinker something that doesn't overload the palate, but gives space for a range of tastes, textures, and experiences. The brewery is brewing on a modified 3.5 barrel system, with two new, custom built 7 barrel fermenters and they have plans to bring their 10 barrel kettle and mash tun on line this spring.

“We are thrilled to have Good Measure as part of the Association. Scott has been an advocate and champion for craft beer for many years both at Three Penny and Mule Bar. When I heard he was opening a brewery, it was a natural fit into the VBA.” Said, Melissa Corbin, VBA Executive Director. You can find Good Measure Brewing at 17 East Street, Northfield, VT. Their tasting room is open 12PM to 7PM Wednesday through Saturday. For more information, visit goodmeasurebrewing.com.
