Scott Milne will not vote for Trump

Vermont Business Magazine Joining many other Vermont politicians, both Democratic and Republican, US Senate candidate Scott Milne issued a statement over the weekend condemning remarks made by presidential nominee Donald Trump. Milne said in a statement: “I was hoping to make it to a debate with Pat Leahy before talking specifically about the presidential contest, and the differences between Leahy and me regarding our treatment of candidates. But, Pat Leahy’s debate dodging, coupled with the embarrassing and completely inappropriate things that have been confirmed about Donald Trump, force me to speak,” said Milne.

“As a father, and candidate for public office, I believe we need to be role models, and a sincere goal of my campaign is to inspire young Vermonters.  Mr. Trump’s candidacy is irreconcilable with these goals.

“I will not vote for Donald Trump, and I would respect his decision to step aside,” Milne concluded.
