Planned Parenthood PAC endorses Sue Minter for governor

Vermont Business Magazine Today, the Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund Independent Expenditure PAC (PPVTAF IE PAC) released their complete list of statewide candidate endorsements. At the top of the ticket, the PPVTAF IE PAC Board endorsed Sue Minter for Governor.  Rounding out the statewide slate, the Board endorsed David Zuckerman for Lieutenant Governor, Beth Pearce for State Treasurer, Doug Hoffer for Auditor of Accounts, TJ Donovan for Attorney General, and Jim Condos for Secretary of State.

“Today, we are proudly endorsing this strong group of candidates who understand what’s at stake regarding reproductive health care for all Vermonters,” said Creston Lea, Chair of the PPVTAF IE PAC Board.  “We are particularly excited to today announce our endorsement of Sue Minter in her race to be our state’s next governor.  Sue Minter has a legislative record and long history of fighting for reproductive justice.  As governor, she will fight to protect access to reproductive health care for all Vermonters, no matter their income, no matter their age. We know that we can count on her to protect access to abortion -- without exception.”

“While access to birth control, abortion, and services at Planned Parenthood are under unprecedented attack nationally, here in Vermont we have actually expanded access. With so much at stake, we need a governor who will continue to lead the way,” Lea continued.  “Sue Minter will be a governor who doesn’t just support women’s health – she will be a proactive leader on expanding access to women’s health care, and has shown a strong, lifelong commitment to the issues that the Planned Parenthood Vermont Action Fund IE PAC cares about.”

Last week, the PPVTAF IE PAC announced their endorsement of 23 candidates for State Senate and 81 candidates for State Representative from across Vermont. A complete list of these endorsements can be found at http://ppvtaf.org/2016-endorsed-legislative-candidates/
