Vermont Business Magazine ANEW Place is a new homeless transitional program in Burlington’s Old North End. Together with the support of the community, they reintegrate homeless adults back into the community, giving each person a way out of homelessness. Through holistic help, job skill training, and long-term solutions, each person can start ANEW. In the last three months, 16 ANEW Place guests have acquired employment, while 7 have made successful transitions to independent housing. Thanks to a generous donor who has pledged a $6,000 monthly matching gift, every dollar pledged monthly to ANEW Place between now and the end of November will generate double the benefit every month because of this matching grant!
Many community partners of ANEW are fully behind the campaign and encourage others to join as well. According to Matt Beer, Executive Director of 150 Cherry Street & long-time ANEW Place supporter, “It’s not often that an opportunity presents itself where the generosity of the community can be leveraged to double the impact for a non-profit organization; not for a one-time campaign, but indefinitely. This kind of a campaign can transform an organization if the community is willing to throw its support behind the campaign and ensure that the match is fully-funded.”
ANEW Place cannot exist without your help! The greatest need is for monthly partnerships that provide reliable income, so together we can continue changing lives! Everyone can find hope, overcome their past, learn that change is possible, and step into a new future. Through the power of partnership, you can shape a story.
