Vermont Business Magazine The University of Vermont Health Network has named John Grieco as the network’s chief technology officer, effective today, December 12. He most recently served as director of Technical Services and Operations at Partners HealthCare System in Boston. Grieco has more than 21 years of experience in information technology, primarily at Partners HealthCare. He led the technical implementation of the Epic electronic health record rollout at Partners and has successfully fostered collaboration with the 11 hospitals within the Partners HealthCare Network to achieve common goals and build strong relationships to advance their mission.

“John’s experience is extremely valuable to us,” said Adam Buckley, UVM Health Network chief information officer. “His insights will facilitate the development of our plans to improve the electronic health record system throughout the hospitals in the UVM Health Network hospitals.”
Prior to joining Partners in 1998, Grieco served as a senior consultant at Xerox Connect (now Xerox Global Services, Inc.), a business systems consulting subsidiary arm of Xerox Corporation.
Grieco has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on computer information systems, from Bryant University, Smithfield, RI, and a Master of Science degree in Organization Leadership, with an emphasis on health care management, from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT.
