Vermont Fish & Wildlife With most hunting seasons just around the corner, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is urging new hunters to sign up now for a hunter education course. F&W is also offering small game hunting tips and free fishing clinics. And it announced that Vermont's annual auction of five moose hunting permits closed on August 10, with $28,916 taken in from the five winning bids. The auction helps fund Fish & Wildlife Department educational programs, such as the Green Mountain Conservation Camps for youths.

Hunter Education Courses Still Being Offered
 
With most hunting seasons just around the corner, the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is urging new hunters to sign up now for a hunter education course. 
 
Classes fill up quickly, but securing a spot is easy with Vermont Fish & Wildlife's online Hunter Education Program registration system.  All would-be hunters, trappers and bowhunters are required to complete their respective course before purchasing their first license.
 
VT F&W to Hold Small Game Hunting Seminar
 
Interested in cooking up locally-sourced grouse, squirrel or rabbit in your kitchen this fall? Vermont Fish & Wildlife will be holding a "Small Game Hunting" seminar focusing on bird, rabbit and squirrel hunting. 
 
The seminar will take place onSaturday, August 27, 2016, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 at the Randolph Fish & Game Club in Randolph, VT. 

 
 
VT Fish & Wildlife Offering Free Fishing Clinics
 
The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department will be hosting two free fishing clinics in September, both of which are open to people of all ages and levels of experience, including those who are completely new to fishing. 
 
The two clinics will be led by staff from Vermont Fish & Wildlife and instructors from the Let's Go Fishing Program.
