Hirchak to auction Seldon Technologies equipment Dec 3

Vermont Business Magazine Seldon Technologies of Windsor, global developer and manufacturer of EPA Compliant Nano Filtration Equipment for Clean Water, Fuel, and Oil Applications, is set to be auctioned on December 3, 2015. Seldon has retained the Thomas Hirchak Company, of Morrisville, to sell the intellectual and personal property of the company, in one lot, via sealed bid. Prior to closing operations, Seldon Technologies, which was founded in 2002, designed and manufactured multiple purification filtration systems for a variety of applications including emergency and disaster relief, humanitarian efforts, military and government, business and industry, remote location, and private use. The company employed approximately 32 people at its Windsor location.

Seldon informed its employees September 28 that it was closing its doors and laying off the staff. Senator Patrick Leahy and others hailed Seldon just in July for its water filtration systems heading to Mexico.

Seldon’s systems can be tailored toward most any customer requirement and have been proven to be highly effective in both pressurized and gravity based applications. The water filtration systems are designed to provide pure, clean drinking water at the point-of-use from virtually any water source without the use of chemicals or power, and with no time or water wasted. Built with their Nanomesh filtration technology, the systems have been utilized by US Armed Forces and Canadian special operations groups. The WaterBox, Seldon’s flagship product, has been tested at NSF and is compliant to NSF P248 (Emergency Military Operations Microbiological Water Purifiers).

The Thomas Hirchak Company is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Certified Auctioneers Institute, with offices in Morrisville and Williston, Vt., and has been successfully marketing real and personal property through auctions and liquidation sales in the northeastern United States since 1979.
