Maple Landmark, Vermont Rolling Pins finalists for Martha Stewart award

Two Vermont based companies are finalists for Martha Stewart's Third Annual American Made. You can see the full list of finalists here. The Vermont finalists are Maple Landmark Woodcraft of Middlebury and Vermont Rolling Pins of South Burlington. Both were chosen in the second round of finalists by editors at Martha Stewart Living Magazine. Nominations are still open and can be submitted until August 29th on the American Made website.Judges will select a total of 800 finalists through September 9. Creative entrepreneurs from across the country can nominate themselves or other aspiring makers for a chance to be recognized as one of the 2014 American Made Award Winners.

The Initiative:

· Martha Stewart’s American Made is a nationally recognized awards program that celebrates new rising stars of the growing maker culture who have turned their passions for handcrafted, well-designed goods into small businesses and proudly make their products in America.

· Through American Made, Martha and the editors of Martha Stewart Living honor these makers, small-business owners and creative entrepreneurs in the fields of crafts, design, food and style.

The Winners:

· From the entire pool of finalists, 10 Award Winners will be named – nine by the judges and one by audience choice.

· Winners will be awarded:

o A cash prize of $10,000

o A trip to New York City to attend the American Made Event

o The opportunity to be featured on MarthaStewart.com and in Martha Stewart Living

o Marketing and public relations to help move their businesses forward
