State Senator Sally Fox of Chittenden County passed away Friday, January 10, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Temple Sinai on Dorset Street in South Burlington.’
Please note all flags must fly at half-staff for that period of time. Rule: when the US flag is lowered, the Vermont flag, the POW flag, and any other flag must also be lowered, because the U.S. flag must always fly above or equal to any other flags that are flown.

State Senator Sally Fox, (D-South Burlington), died in the early morning hours Friday surrounded by her family. She was 62. She had struggled with lung cancer for two years. An audible gasp went up from lawmakers when House Speaker Shap Smith made the announcement in the House Chamber Friday morning.
