Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors.
‘The staff and current board of VBSR are pleased to welcome three talented and capable people to serve on the VBSR Board of Directors. These new leaders will help VBSR continue to be a vital and positive force for socially responsible business policy and practices in Vermont,’ said Andrea Cohen, Executive Director of VBSR. ‘These new board members will play a critical role in ensuring that the mission and goals of VBSR are successfully obtained. The 2014 Board is diverse in size, sector, and geographic region. VBSR has never been stronger or more relevant.’’
The three new board members are: Mike Burak, Jennifer Chiodo and Bret Hodgdon.
Mike Burak - Burak Anderson and Melloni PLC.
Mike is a founding member of the Burlington law firm Burak Anderson & Melloni PLC. His practice focuses on complex business and commercial litigation, as well as the protection of intellectual property rights. Mike has served as General Counsel to the Vermont Public Service Board and was appointed by Vermont’s governor to be the state’s first Director for Public Advocacy. Since returning to private practice, he specializes in utility matters, including utility regulation and energy law.
Jennifer Chiodo - Cx Associates.
Jennifer has over 30 years of experience creating and managing new approaches to garnering energy efficiency in the business sector. She has fostered the development of Cx Associates into a widely recognized leader in the areas of energy efficiency, commissioning, and evaluation of energy efficiency projects, as well as a socially responsible business that puts people and the planet ahead of profits. Ms. Chiodo is actively engaged in addressing global warming through her volunteer work on her town energy committee and as Advocacy Chair on the Board of the Vermont Green Building Network. Ms. Chiodo was also instrumental in the development of Efficiency Vermont.
Bret Hodgdon - Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs.
