Burlington Town Center selects Summit/Route 802 Mobilenomix Platform

Under the new ownership of Devonwood Investors, LLC and Mountain Development Corp, the Burlington Town Center is poised to undergo a number of improvements that will redefine the Burlington shopping experience for years to come. Among their first enhancements is joining the Route 802 ecosystem and the Mobilenomix platform, a new media outlet over which businesses can promote their brands through digital signage and mobile technologies. The Burlington Town Center will be the first indoor public venue to deliver Gigabit Wi-Fi to its shoppers.

The integration of the Mobilenomix platform in downtown Burlington opens the door for technology-centered advancements to further improve its creative, thriving economy. “The Gigabit Wi-Fi is a great amenity for our shoppers and enables many other value-added services for our tenants,” General Manager of the Burlington Town Center Matt Chabot said.

“Matt has been a visionary and huge supporter of our efforts to help the downtown business community keep pace with the fundamental shifts occurring in the marketing space,” founder of Route 802, Al Levy, said.

“The Burlington Town Center partnership is a key component to a larger Mobilenomix effort underway in the downtown that will facilitate access to essential mobile and digital resources to all who live in, and visit Burlington,” he said.

“The Burlington Town Center is going to benefit from the state’s first public deployment of Gigabit Wi-Fi, provided in partnership with Burlington Telecom, Summit Technologies and Route 802. Initially we will deliver a free 100MB connection for visitors to the BTC”president of Summit Technologies Keith Mattes said.

“Our Wi-Fi portals will be in both English and French. We are looking forward to serving French Canadians with Internet connectivity to avoid roaming costs and allow access local mobile-optimized resources” he added.

The deployment in the Burlington Town Center is underway and expected to go live in May ahead of the busy summer.

The Burlington Town Center is Burlington’s premier indoor shopping center anchored by Macy’s to the west and the Church Street Marketplace to the east. Under new ownership, the Burlington Town Center will redefine itself in the year to come. Stay tuned!
