Win Smith, President of Sugarbush Resort, and Brian Shea and Cindy Carr, owners of Sugarbush Real Estate, are pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement to merge the resort owned firm, Graves Realty, with Sugarbush Real Estate effective November 15, 2013.
Graves Realty was founded in 1970 by local real estate veteran Augusta ‘Gussie’ Graves. Graves prospered with the growth in the Mad River Valley and has always been a top seller of vacation properties.

Sugarbush Real Estate has been an industry leader since opening their first office on the mountain in 1969, specializing in resort condominiums and homes. They established their Waitsfield office in 1982 and expanded into a full service real estate firm, offering residential and resort homes, condominiums, land and commercial properties for sale and rent. Sugarbush Real Estate has marketed many successful projects including Lincoln Ridge and numerous condominium developments and subdivisions. The firm has maintained the highest gross sales volume in the Mad River Valley for the past 14 years.
"Graves Realty has been a very successful group over the years as has Sugarbush Real Estate" said Win Smith, President of Sugarbush Resort. "Each has had their areas of focus, and we believe that the combination of the two will make an even more successful real estate company for the future."
The combined firm will operate under the Sugarbush Real Estate name with offices in Village Square, Waitsfield, in Sugarbush Village, and in the Farmhouse at the base of Lincoln Peak where Sugarbush’s real estate team responsible for selling Clay Brook and Rice Brook, is located. They will remain a part of Sugarbush Resort, but will work closely with the merged firm.
