The Public Service Department has announced that the next meeting of the Vermont State Nuclear Advisory Panel (VSNAP) will be held on November 14 from 6 PM to 9 PM in the cafeteria at Vernon Elementary School, 381 Governor Hunt Road in Vernon, Vermont. The agenda for the November 14 meeting includes discussion topics related to the closure of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant, as well as an overview of current plant operations. Members of the public are welcome.
The Vermont State Nuclear Advisory Panel (VSNAP) is governed by 18 V.S.A. Chapter 34. The Commissioner of the Public Service Department chairs the panel, which meets periodically to consider issues relating to the present and future use of nuclear power in general, and of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station in particular.
