Vermont Attractions Association adds to travel destination lineup

Three destinations have joined the Vermont Attractions Association (VAA) as businesses gear up for the busy summer season. The newest attraction members in Vermont’s premier vacation lineup are Fresh Tracks Farm Vineyard & Winery in Berlin, Hidden Springs Maple in Putney and Rockledge Farm Woodworks in Reading.
These attractions were invited to join the association based on their qualities as a family destination, ability to provide visitor services, educational component, and reflection of the Vermont brand.
‘In addition to being premier destinations, these three new VAA members offer visitor experiences in the world of agriculture,’said VAA President Vicky Tebbetts. ‘As travel destinations they showcase their authentic Vermont heritage through education, tours and artisan products. Connecting visitors to the stories of Vermonters and embodying a sense of place tops the list of visitor experiences.’
Education is a vital component of the visitor experience among VAA members; they offer visitors unusual experiences in agricultural tourism, arts and culture, excursions, galleries, guided tours, history, museums, recreation, shopping, and specialty foods. ‘VAA members reflect Vermont’s premier family destinations,’said Tebbetts.
Members of VAA enjoy many benefits, including a presence on 1.1 million copies of the Official Vermont Road Map & Guide to Vermont Attractions, which is widely distributed across the country and internationally as the State of Vermont’s highway map. VAA also markets its members through a number of online and new media platforms designed to inspire and engage a variety of audiences, including a robust mobile-optimized site, videos about the Vermont attractions experience, and a YouTube channel.
The Vermont Chamber of Commerce manages VAA, which was founded in 1957 and represents 72 of Vermont's finest family destinations. To see a complete list of VAA members or for more information about the VAA, visit http://www.vtattractions.org.
