David Silverman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank, has announced the appointment of John M Goodrich to the Board of Directors on February 20, 2013. Goodrich is the Vice President of Production, Americas for WEIDMANN the global leader in electrical insulation for transformer manufacturers and transformer users. He currently manages the Americas manufacturing sites located in Brazil, Mexico, Ohio, and locally in St Johnsbury, Vermont.
Goodrich’ s work and board experience along with his commitment to the local community makes him an ideal representative for Union Bank. He is a resident of Lyndonville and has served on the St. Johnsbury School Board for seven years, on the Planning Commission for five years, and participated in the writing of the St. Johnsbury Town Plan.
He is a past Director on the Board of Central Vermont Public Service, and was a Director for many years for the Associated Industries of Vermont (AIV). Goodrich remains active in the Vermont political process at the local and state level, and was appointed by then Governor Jim Douglas to first serve and then chair the Commission for the Future of Economic Development.
