VITL appoints four new eHealth systems specialists

Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL) today announced the appointment of Francine Clark, Suzanne McEachron, Kathleen Meyer, and Christine Sweeny as eHealth systems specialists. In this role, all four will interact with medical organizations to assist providers with implementing electronic health records (EHR) and achieving meaningful use incentives, in addition to educating practices to fulfill Vermont’s patient consent program requirements and to improve data quality for enhanced patient care.
Clark brings more than 30 years of experience with patient relations, office staff and operations management to her new role with VITL. She most recently served as senior director of clinical services at Grace Cottage Hospital where she was involved with the electronic medical record (EMR) implementation and transition. Clark received her Certificate in Health Care Management from Antioch New England Graduate School and also earned as associate’s degree in nursing from Thompson School of Nursing. She resides in Brattleboro.
McEachron joins VITL from Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region where she served as EMR coordinator, supporting the operation of the EMR and practice management system, including training, managing upgrades and daily operations. Prior to her role at Community Health Centers, she served as practice leader with Castleton Family Health Center. McEachron earned her bachelor’s in interdisciplinary humanities from Michigan State University. A resident of Middle Granville, NY, McEachron is a member of the Granville Central School District Board of Education.
Prior to joining VITL, Meyer worked as a registered nurse in the birthing pavilion at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Previously she worked at Springfield Hospitals, Southwestern Vermont Health Care and Rutland Regional Medical Center in various capacities. Meyer holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Southern Vermont College and a bachelor’s in movement science from Texas Christian University. She is a resident of Andover.
With more than 25 years of experience in the New England health care industry, Sweeny joins VITL from Northwestern Medical Center, where she most recently serviced as director, physician services. Sweeny also previously worked as executive director of the Northwestern Occupational Health and Walk-In Clinic, where she converted a practice from paper records to EHRs and opened a new practice with an EHR. Sweeny holds a master’s of business administration from The University of Maine and her bachelor’s degree in administration of health services from Ithaca College. A resident of Swanton, she also is a member of Medical Group Management Association, National Association of Occupational Health Professionals, and Urgent Care Association of America.
